This Privacy Policy explains how Epsilamic Solutions Inc. ("Epsilamic", "we", "us"), operating under the trade name TachyonOwl, handles personal information collected through tachyonowl.io (the "Site") - particularly when you contact us or book a setup or discovery call. We handle personal information in line with Canada's Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA).
01Who we are & scope
TachyonOwl is a trade name of Epsilamic Solutions Inc., incorporated in Ontario, Canada. This policy covers personal information we collect through the Site. It does not cover information handled inside the TachyonOwl product by businesses that use it - that is addressed in our separate customer agreements.
02What we collect
We collect only what we need.
Information you give us. When you email us or request a setup or discovery call, we collect the details you choose to provide - typically your name and email address, and sometimes a phone number, your business or café name, and whatever you write in your message.
Information collected automatically. Like most websites, our hosting and infrastructure may log basic technical data such as your IP address, browser type, and the pages you visit, for security and to keep the Site running. Delivering the Site also involves third-party providers (for example, a web-font provider) that may receive your IP address as part of loading a page.
We do not run advertising trackers or sell behavioural profiles, and we do not ask for sensitive personal information through the Site.
03How we use it
We use the personal information you give us to:
- respond to your questions and messages;
- schedule, prepare for, and follow up on a setup or discovery call;
- communicate with you about the private beta and any work we do together; and
- understand how the Site is used so we can improve it.
We use your information only for the purposes we identify when we collect it, or for a use you would reasonably expect. We do not use it for automated decision-making.
04Our basis: your consent
We rely on your consent. By voluntarily sending us your details or booking a call, you consent to our collecting and using that information for the purposes above. You can withdraw your consent at any time (see Your privacy rights); if you do, we may be unable to continue a conversation or schedule a call with you.
05When we share it
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only:
- with service providers who help us operate - for example, website hosting, email, and scheduling tools - and only as needed for them to perform that work, under confidentiality obligations;
- where required by law, or to protect our rights, safety, or property; or
- at your direction or with your consent.
Service providers that act on our behalf are not permitted to use your information for their own purposes.
06Cookies & analytics
This Site is intentionally lightweight. We do not currently use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. If we add privacy-respecting analytics, or any cookie that is not strictly necessary, we will update this policy and, where required, ask for your consent first. Third-party resources the Site loads (such as web fonts) may make their own technical requests, as described in What we collect.
07Where your data is processed
We are based in Canada and aim to keep personal information in Canada where practical. However, some of our service providers (for example, cloud hosting and email) may store or process data on servers located in the United States or other countries. Where that happens, your information may be subject to the laws of those countries, including potential lawful access by their authorities. We take reasonable steps to ensure our providers protect it to a comparable standard.
08How long we keep it
We keep the personal information you give us only as long as we need it for the purposes above - for example, to handle your inquiry and any resulting relationship - and then for a reasonable period to meet legal, accounting, or record-keeping needs. When it is no longer needed, we delete or anonymize it. You can ask us to delete it sooner (see below).
09How we protect it
We use reasonable physical, technical, and organizational safeguards appropriate to the sensitivity of the information to protect it against loss, theft, and unauthorized access, use, or disclosure. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your information and to limit who can access it.
10Your privacy rights
Under PIPEDA, you can:
- ask whether we hold personal information about you, and request access to it;
- ask us to correct information that is inaccurate or incomplete;
- withdraw your consent to our use of it, subject to legal or contractual limits; and
- ask us to delete it.
To exercise any of these, email us at info@tachyonowl.io. We will respond within the timeframes PIPEDA requires, and we may need to verify your identity first.
11Children's privacy
The Site is intended for businesses and adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.
12Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as our practices or the law change. We will revise the "effective" date at the top of this page, and for material changes we will take reasonable steps to let you know.
